Feira de Meira

A market that is centuries old.

It is celebrated every fortnight, on alternate Sundays, bringing together neighbors and visitors.

A traditional “fair” that is still preserved.

The “feira de Meira” are one of the few traditional fairs that are still preserved. Its history dates back to 1707 and it has the privilege of being a “real” fair.

Meira on fair days is a real “happy bustle”. Different stalls offer artisan, gastronomic or garden products, clothing and footwear, farm animals and even music.

And as a good fair, we cannot forget the authentic “pulpo a feira” that from the “caldeiros” invites you to try it in addition to the wines and tapas that are enjoyed in the town’s bars.

The Meira fairs are recognized beyond the environment and as everything good they continue to enjoy attractiveness. A form of culture that still tastes like donuts and chatter.
