The Meira region is a unique vast area of unspoiled nature that is located within the Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve.
Miño Eo Route
The Miño-Eo route has its zero kilometer in the Pedregal de Irimia, source of the Miño river. The altitude of this route varies between 889m. at the top of the Sierra de Meira, at 175m. at the A Treita dam, next to the river Eo. On the way there is an impressive waterfall of about 15m. high, called A Mexadoira.
Roteiro Avelino Diaz
Route that connects the two dwellings of the journalist, writer and cultural activist Avelino Díaz (A Órrea 1897- Buenos Aires 1971) from his birthplace in A Travesa (A Órrea) to Meira, passing by what was his home in the place of A Pena.
